Osaka sushi & steakhouse – Fresh Sushi and Exquisite Hibachi Dining in Winchester, TN

We were seated right away. The staff was friendly and attentive. The sushi was very good and perfectly fresh. We will eat there again!

Food was exceptional. Service good +++.. had one error of missing Spring Rolls. (Very busy night) They did turn up, delicious as expected. The entrees were Hibachi Shrimp and Chicken with Steamed Rice and Vegetables. Hibachi Veggies with Fried Rice and Spring Rolls. Alaska Roll and Sunshine Roll.

I’m a little biased. This is my favorite restaurant in Winchester Tennessee. I love all the girls that work there the gentleman that owns it family is a wonderful delight to be around. I have learned a lot about Japanese Chinese culture. I eat there every day so you will find me in the restaurant late in the afternoon around four or at closing time close to eight or nine I’m trying to try every dish on the menu and the family and staff are helping me with this goal. I’m also a photographer so you see the pretty dishes and pictures of the dishes that I have taken please comment and come by enjoying our little family. We would love to have you. I have kind of inserted myself in their family. I’m a regular at the restaurant. The ambience at the restaurant is just out of this world. It’s very peaceful harmony and joyful. Everyone that comes has fun and leaves happy along with their belly being happy as well. You can’t go wrong at this restaurant. I cannot stress enough how elegant the food looks as well as it taste

This far inland, I am usually hesitant about fresh fish, however - the sushi and sashimi here is absolutely top notch!! Our server was extremely friendly and cheerful, and the food came out with wonderful presentation and in a timely manner.

As a chef who’s worked in kitchens for years, I’m always a little skeptical when a new restaurant opens, especially when it’s during the frenzy of a first week. However, my recent visit to Osaka Steakhouse completely exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was impressed not only by the lively, welcoming atmosphere but also by the quality of food and service provided in an area truly short of great restaurants. To start the dining experience we ordered appetizers that found their way to our table rather quickly and fresh. The fried gyoza had a perfectly crisped exterior, with a tender, flavorful filling that didn’t overwhelm the palate. The balance of pork and vegetables was just right, and the dumpling sauce was the ideal tangy complement. The takoyaki, often hit or miss at many places, was on point—each ball was soft and gooey on the inside, with generous chunks of octopus and a wonderfully smoky, savory flavor that made me immediately appreciate the care they put into their recipes. I could taste the attention to detail in every bite. Moving on to the main courses, I was particularly impressed with the hibachi preparations. The salmon hibachi was cooked to absolute perfection—flaky and tender, with a slightly crispy crust that still maintained moisture throughout. It was clear that the fish was fresh and treated with respect, and the smoky char from the grill added an extra layer of complexity to the dish. The chicken hibachi, while a simpler dish, was equally well-executed. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the seasoning was just enough to enhance the natural flavors without overpowering them. Both dishes came with perfectly grilled vegetables and a side of rice that was light, fluffy, and not overly greasy. One of the most pleasant surprises of the night, however, was the service. The staff was attentive and professional, but not overbearing, which is a fine line to walk, especially when a restaurant is still in its opening week. The chefs at the hibachi grill were engaging and clearly skilled, performing with precision and flair, while the front-of-house team made sure everything flowed smoothly without a hitch. Overall, Osaka Steakhouse has definitely set the bar high for the surrounding area. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the care put into each dish—from the appetizers to the hibachi mains—was evident. As a chef, it’s exciting to see a new restaurant that truly respects the craft of cooking, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they grow. If their opening week is any indication, this spot is sure to become a local favorite that offers quite a service to the Winchester/Decherd area that was desperately needed.

My husband and I went for lunch, for the first time today! It was great! Service was great and fast. Friendly staff. We chose hibachi and it was quick, funny, entertaining and delicious!! We will definitely be back in the future. Something we definitely needed in Winchester!!!

I was so disheartened to see quite a few bad reviews of this place, because our experience was FANTASTIC. There was a bit of a wait for a hibachi table when we got there, but it was worth it! We ended up getting our own private show with Chef Restu, who was phenomenal, since we came in a little later in the night. He carried on a great conversation with us the whole time, cooked our food perfectly, and put on such a great show! We got the spider roll to start, hibachi filet and scallops, and filet and lobster for our entrees. The soup was so delicious, the ginger dressing on our salad was delicious, sushi was delicious, our entrees?? Also delicious. Our waitress was also very helpful with recommendations of sushi and was attentive to our drinks. The atmosphere was very cool and also very clean. We live in Tullahoma but the drive will be absolutely worth it in the future. My boyfriend went so far as to say that he wanted to eat there at least once a week now. 10/10, highly recommend!

We had a very very good experience here. The food was all wonderful. The service was great. No complaints. Very wonderful people and place to go.
